Stewart has over twenty years’ capital markets experience. His career began with New Japan Securities, trading Japanese equity warrants before joining Merrill Lynch’s Fixed Income Division in 1991 as a Eurobond and Japanese Government Bond Market Maker.
He went on to hold senior trading positions at Credit Suisse, where he was Head of the Asia and Japan Fixed Income trading desk, and subsequently WestLB, running the Credit Arbitrage business from 1996 to 2004. In this role he was managing a proprietary portfolio of investment grade, high yield and convertible bond risk. Thereafter Stewart spent four years in Tokyo as Head of Credit Trading for Shinsei Securities, running a client facing structured credit business. Upon returning to the UK in 2009 he teamed up for the first time with David Brett at a specialist credit boutique, Terium, where he spent four years prior to joining LXM in July 2013.
