Harold joined LXM in 2015 as Global Head of Emerging Markets upon returning from the United States where he had built the foreign broker dealer trading platform for Enclave Capital in New York with a focus on frontier markets.
Harold began his trading career in 1990 in the New York office of British merchant bank Robert Fleming where he was trading Japanese warrants and coverable bonds. At Flemings, Harold performed various roles: Proprietary trading, NASDAQ Market Making of Japanese and Asian ADRs and OTC market making of Asian GDRs, CBs and Country Funds. In 1997 he moved to London and was in charge of building their EMEA trading desk along with client facilitation, proprietary trading and management of the local trading desks in Fleming’s regional offices.
In 2000 Harold was recruited by Deutsche Bank to run their EMEA trading desk in London. In 2004, switching to a Sales Trading role, he returned to New York working in the stand-alone offices of Russian brokers Troika Dialog and Alfa Bank. In 2007 he was recruited by the Russian broker Uralsib, which was working with Auerbach Grayson, in a hybrid Sales and Sales Trading role to expand their trading relationships with the U.S. institutional client base.
