|Since inception, LXM has invested in socially responsible projects and initiatives. We currently support the following with substantial commitments:
Internship Programme: LXM takes in talented young people each year through its affiliation with the Libra Internship Programme. This global internship programme provides opportunity and education for promising students from around the world. The objective is to provide a platform for interns to learn about our business, strategy and management philosophy while they further develop the skills that will help define their future. Interns gain valuable experience working alongside industry professionals and benefit from time within each business department, which provides an insight for those who go on to look for future employment in the finance sector. Each intern is assigned a mentor who guides with regular reviews and guidance throughout the length of the internship, which is usually 3 months.
Concordia: LXM is a sponsor of Concordia, a non-profit organization seeking to promote and build public-private partnerships focused on pressing global issues. Concordia fosters meaningful dialogue, sparks collaboration, and inspires collective action by way of diverse programming throughout the year, from the annual Concordia Summit to a series of year-round engagement opportunities. The annual Summit in New York City convenes the world’s most prominent business, government and non-profit leaders. It is a global affairs forum that examines the world’s most pressing challenges to identify avenues for collaboration. Previous keynote speakers have included President Bill Clinton, President George W. Bush, Vice President Joseph Biden and Secretary Hillary R. Clinton. Summit focus areas include cancer research, climate change, cyber-security, counter-extremism, migration and gender parity.
Hellenic Entrepreneurship Award: The Hellenic Entrepreneurship Award is an annual award given to new business ideas that demonstrate the best in Greek entrepreneurship. The prize is open to entrants ranging from established businesses and private individuals with revenue and employment related to the business primarily occurring in Greece. Each year up to five awards are given to entrants that demonstrate the best in Greek entrepreneurship. Business support offered to winners includes legal, accounting, communications and IT consultancy services. Each winner is also assigned a mentor who will provide advice and guidance throughout every stage of the business start-up.
